We're Back!

It's been some time getting things up and running again between winter sickness and computer virus death, it's taken time. We had to use our tax refunds to get new computers both myself and my husband. Whew! But it's all done and we decided to start fresh. I have been slowly working up stock with the new resin, which is amazing stuff. I will probably end up doing a clearance for some of the older resin ones, just cheaper pricing. They are still great, just not as resistant to scratching. The resin I have now I mix with the old stuff and it works perfectly. I've totally enjoyed working with it.

This week I hope to get some more images and designs going....always have a muse around. It must be spring fever doing it to me as it got into the 50's today and it is making me very anxious for warmer weather!

Also...heads up, we may be doing a free giveaway soon, so look for details coming up very soon. We are thrilled to have been selected to offer a great chance to let you get some amazing goodies, yup...FREE! (Aren't we so nice?)

In addition, our store link is new....check out our product HERE now!

We have some great new stuff too!

Just a Little Hello

Okay, things are slowing down a bit thanks to my last order of scrabble tiles not coming in. I got a letter from my supplier saying they were out and did not get stock back until the 18th, so they canceled it (jerks!). I finally re-ordered, but I also decided I would test out a new kind. It's from a box set called "Onyx Scrabble" which is a black stained scrabble tile with silver letters. I thought those would be perfect for the World of Warcraft tiles and I found them after about a half hour of internet searching for the same price as my normal ones cost. (I guess charging an arm and a leg is appropriate but I refused to settle! I like a good bargain!) Yay for internet senses! So, I expect to see them come in Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Still...I am itching to get started. In the meantime, I will make some copies of the tile prints I want and get them cut out and prepped. I am hoping that my Kinko's man is there. He seems to be the only one who can download all the files and size them to fit multiple images on one sheet. If not, it takes a LOT longer to explain to the newbies that YES it can be done and NO it doesn't need to be shipped to a special center to pay 50 bucks for it to be resized, lol. It seems when I tell them who it was who DID do it for me, they all roll their eyes and say the same thing,..."Oh, that it explains it, yea- he's our computer genius." I kinda feel bad I keep forgetting his name, lol.

I am going to experiment a bit and see if I like a rounded corner edge of a few extras I have. Anyways, progress is good right? I have a few spelling mistakes on some of the WoW pendants to fix that were never put up due to that brain fart, and I have some special personalized ones as well for another customer. I am thinking of offering personalized initials, but I am going to wait to see how this new resin reacts and looks. I am actually extremely excited about it.

So, I'll be lounging today with me and my upset tummy, (yes, not feeling 100% today...I think I am allergic to family get togethers, lol), in front of my photoshop doing some last minute details with pendants. I do have to go pick up some food at the store for lunch for me and the little one and I may go to the craft store with her to look at some paper. (And she LOVES shopping...ah, that's my little girl!) Summing up, more to come and everyone...have the HAPPIEST HOLIDAY AND A GREAT NEW YEAR!

Shipping Oddities

Okay, my scrabble tile supplier has decided that their stock is out, gar. That delays things. I hate it when things like that happen. So, I guess we'll have to wait for more pendants. I have a ton to ship tomorrow, so some unlucky person waiting in line behind me at the post office will probably be cursing me under their breath, but hey- that's how it goes. It's the oddest thing though with shipping. I go to the USPS website and enter 1 lb 5oz for weight (which is a little heavier most of the time) and it calculates usually in the $4.95 range. Same with when I stand in line to have them ship them. However when i go to the little electronic, weight it yourself, print it yourself and ship it yourself machine in the post office, it's about $2.50...with a tracking number which is great cause the remainder pays for the shipping supplies. I just don't know why on earth the difference. Anyone else notice that about USPS? I can't figure it out and I'm pretty sure the guy at the postal counter is uh...how do I say this right?...slow. Like,...he seems far far far away. I don't think I'd get a right answer from him anyhow. So, the stickers the machine prints to attach to the box takes up about 60% of the little package but I make it work, lol. It helps to keep weight down when it's small. Oh...look at me, rambling away about shipping of all things. See what happens when you post things after your bedtime?

A Little Excitement To Be Shared

Yay! I have some new pendants in development. (Everyone squeal with me!) I've also discovered a new type of resin that is apparently a lot harder, or tougher, surface when cured. I've learned that combining it in equal parts with what I use now will give it a LOT more durability. And I like that! Not that they are horrible now...but they are prone to some scratching if not stored safely when not in wear. So, this should help lots. I have more contemporary floral and texture designs, kermit, animal (muppets), Godzilla, more animals, landscapes, serene scenes, Dexter and his sister, paintings, angels, well...I'm a little excited! (jumps up and down)

So, I'd say in about the next week to wek and a half I should have enough prepped to sell. I know, I know...such a meanie to tell you goodies are coming and make you wait, right? I'm gonna try and push em out by the end of the week...but I'm not crossing my fingers. I never want to sacrifice quality. I may have half a batch done, but not all of them...just too darn many. So...

If you guys could have any picture on a pendant...what would you want? Anything you guys want to see?

The Studio

And here is a sneak peek at my "studio" which is kind of a jumbled, slightly organized mess, lol. (I also do scrapping on occasion so it just kinda...merged!) Anyways, it's in the corner of my basement with lots of lighting and lamps. I love the scrapbook storage turning unit. Holds all my pens, scissors, glue, and random things and the drawers under holds my chain necklaces, bails, ribbons, package labels, keychain rings and more...all in their own compartment. Who designed it gets five stars from me!

When I create the pendants, I use a special type of epoxy on the top of the image to give it a glass dome effect, but I have to bake them in low enough heat to seal it well. So I got this cheap little toaster oven that bakes em perfect. (Though you have to have the aluminum pan on the bottom part to disperse the heat or you fry the pendants...yup, that was a fun learning experience!)

Anyways, though you guys might enjoy a quick look! (Who doesn't like pictures?)

Some people have asked me what the pendants look like on to get an idea of how long the chain is, ect. (Secretly I think people just LOVE me! Hardy har har...) So, here is a quick snap of one of the pendants on for ya all to judge. No be nice and shut your yapper about the modeling...I'm not a professional, lol! Enjoy!
